Because many people consider Jazz (and Classical) challenging forms of music to appreciate, Kevin Edmonds has
developed a series of seminars addressing the needs of beginners wanting to
understand what's going on in a crash course. Primarily designed
for non-musicians (although musicians can benefit as well), Kevin will use
digital technology (CD's and DVD's) to demonstrate and explain a variety of
topics. Each seminar will feature highly interactive (and spirited)
question and answer sessions with the audience in addition to the sampling of
music selections. Short of attending a university, this is the best
education about music anybody could ask for.
Jazz Appreciation 101-This seminar is designed for the rank beginner who wants to appreciate Jazz more throughly but doesn't know where to begin! All of Jazz History plus a sampling of some outstanding performances captured in this 90-minute seminar. Nobody will walk out of the classroom feeling like a beginner in the subject.
